The opening reception for "Saddle Up with the Arts" is on Tuesday, April 11 at 128 West Main Street, Richmond, KY from 5:30-7pm. At the reception we will have live music, free food, a reading of equine related poetry by Catherine Perkins, and regional artwork with an equine theme. In addition we will have tables from regional organizations in the equine industry.

The opening reception is on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2017 at 128 West Main Street, Richmond, KY from 5:30-7pm. The first 25 ladies to arrive will receive a gift bag from the sponsors and/or artists.

The Love and Comfort Show runs from February 14 until April 4, 2017 and will showcase visual art from women in the region and feature Shirley Jeter. Shirley is a renowned painter whose primary medium is watercolor.

The music for the artist reception will be provided by the EKU School of Music with a spoken word performance by Tiffany Bellfield. The featured author poet will be Julie Hensley. The women artists in the region include the following: Pat Banks, Louan Christenson, Karen Ellis, Debra Hille, Shirley, Jeter, Libby Falk Jones, Sally Clay Lanham, Louise Lock, DeBora Mapp Embry, Kristy Marchant, Kim Owens, Karen Riggins, Dianne Simpson, Jenifer Stanley, Beth Thompson, Martha J Wayland, Glenda Dent White, and Andrea Wickersham.
